Client Policies & Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 2026
These Client Policies & Terms of Service provide general information regarding services offered by Supernova Bookkeeping Solutions LLC (“Supernova Bookkeeping”).
Individual client engagements are governed by a separate written Service Agreement. If these website policies conflict with a signed Service Agreement, the terms of the signed Service Agreement will control.
Payment & Commencement of Services
- Payment requirements are established in each client's Service Agreement, invoice, or approved proposal.
- Bookkeeping work begins after the required payment, client documentation, account access, and other requested onboarding information have been received.
- Supernova Bookkeeping reserves the right to delay or pause services when required payments, records, account access, or client responses have not been received.
Refund Policy
- Fees earned for bookkeeping services already performed are non-refundable.
- Once Supernova Bookkeeping begins performing services, amounts attributable to work already completed are considered earned and will not be refunded solely because a client changes their mind, terminates the engagement, changes providers, or is dissatisfied with an outcome that does not result from an error by Supernova Bookkeeping.
- For cleanup, catch-up, and other project-based engagements, refund eligibility, if any, will be determined according to the applicable signed Service Agreement, work performed, and applicable law.
- Payments for services that have not been performed will be handled according to the applicable Service Agreement and applicable law.
Bookkeeping Errors
- Supernova Bookkeeping strives to provide accurate and professional bookkeeping services based upon the information and documentation supplied by the client.
- If a client believes Supernova Bookkeeping made a bookkeeping error within the agreed scope of services, the client should promptly notify Supernova and provide sufficient information to identify the issue.
- When appropriate, bookkeeping errors attributable to Supernova's work will be reviewed and corrected without an additional bookkeeping charge.
Client Responsibilities
- Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely financial information, documentation, statements, account access, and responses necessary to perform the agreed services.
- Supernova Bookkeeping is not responsible for inaccuracies or delays resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, withheld, or untimely information supplied by the client or third parties.
Cleanup & Catch-Up Projects
- Cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping projects vary according to the condition and complexity of the client's books.
- Project pricing may consider factors including transaction volume, number of financial accounts, number of months or years requiring review, reconciliation requirements, missing or incomplete records, condition of the existing books, complexity of corrections required, and scope of services.
- The exact scope, pricing, payment schedule, and deliverables for each cleanup or catch-up engagement will be established in the client's Service Agreement.
Scope of Services
- Supernova Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping services within the scope established in each client's Service Agreement.
- Work outside the agreed scope may require additional fees and written client approval.
- Supernova Bookkeeping does not provide legal advice, investment advice, or services requiring a CPA or other professional license unless specifically stated otherwise in writing.
- Clients should consult their CPA, tax professional, attorney, or other qualified professional when appropriate.
Termination of Services
- Termination and cancellation requirements are governed by the applicable Service Agreement.
- Termination of an engagement does not eliminate payment obligations for services already performed or other amounts earned under the Service Agreement.
Third-Party Software & Financial Institutions
- Supernova Bookkeeping may use or access third-party bookkeeping software, financial platforms, payment processors, banks, or other systems when authorized by the client.
- Supernova Bookkeeping is not responsible for outages, errors, security incidents, policy changes, data availability, or other issues caused by independent third-party providers outside Supernova's reasonable control.
Confidentiality
- Client financial information is treated as confidential and is accessed and used only as reasonably necessary to provide agreed bookkeeping services, subject to the applicable Service Agreement, legal requirements, and authorized third-party systems.
No Guarantee of Financial or Tax Outcomes
- Bookkeeping services are intended to help clients maintain organized and accurate financial records.
- Supernova Bookkeeping does not guarantee specific tax results, financial outcomes, business performance, financing approval, audit outcomes, or other results controlled by third parties.
Service Agreement Controls
- These website policies provide general information and do not replace an individual client's signed Service Agreement.
- When a signed Service Agreement contains terms that differ from these website policies, the signed Service Agreement will control.
